The Summer Energy Club hosted by Jubilee Hall Trust was a great success, 160 children joined the programme and an additional 130 children visited the playground throughout the summer break. The Energy Club will continue as an after school club later this half term, and the play structure will remain open for children to enjoy after school for one day a week (under parental supervision). On September 25th 2015 world leaders will commit to the Global Goals for Sustainable Development to achieve 3 extraordinary things in the next 15 years. End extreme poverty. Fight inequality and injustice. Fix climate change. Torriano Juniors will take part in the World's Largest Lesson, teaching our pupils about these goals and helping them to become the generation that 'changed the world'.
The final phase of the Active Spaces project is complete after a year’s programme of building works! The new Community Kitchen is a wonderful addition to the ‘Earth Kingdom’, providing a special place to grow, cook and play for our children and families. We look forward to developing food technology as part of our Science and Healthy Schools’ curriculum and to hosting many community events.
Primary Talk is a programme supporting the communication development of primary aged children. Torriano Juniors has recently received Level 1 accreditation in recognition of our skills and dedication to provide communication-supportive environments that develop the speech and language skills of all children.
